The Sea Swimmers

It’s an overcast Saturday morning on the Felixstowe beach and a group of swimmers have come together to take on the turbulent waves and currents of the sea. The group are from Outdoorsy Type Suffolk, setup in June 2020 by Helen Dawson and Nicola Last after a period of lockdown and with a burning desire to be outdoors and connect with people.  Being a Suffolk photographer, I joined them to capture their moments as part of a project to document people of the county.

The series has been featured in multiple national and region press and inspired the major project, Wild Swimmers.
