the challenge.

After Warner Hotels introduced their new afternoon tea and festive cocktails, they commissioned us to deliver visuals that captured the luxury, warmth, and social experience of their brand.

Warner Hotels is all about creating spaces where guests can unwind, savour great food and drink, and enjoy a touch of elegance in a relaxed atmosphere. Their hotels are examples of well-maintained, historic buildings with stretching ceilings, grand lobbies and restaurants which use big windows to bring in light and connect spaces with the unfolding landscaped grounds beyond. Our work needed to convey the grandeur of the architecture with the relaxed offering of the brand.

Our challenge was to create consistency across images while preserving the unique atmosphere of each hotel setting. Shooting in public areas added complexity—we wanted the spaces to feel lively but without guests as distractions. The lighting was another hurdle: with varying indoor light levels, we needed to create a lighting approach that enhanced each space’s natural feel without detracting from the luxurious mood.

Finally, we were mindful of the hotel’s busy environment; the staff’s focus is always on delivering great service, so we designed the shoot to work seamlessly around their schedule.

how we made it work.

Shooting at the flagship property of Heythrop Park, we put everything in place to make imagery that could be utilised across multiple mediums:-

  • Aligned Production with Hotel Operations ensuring we coordinated with the hotel’s kitchen, service staff, and management to keep everyone in-sync, planning around peak guest hours and align with the kitchen’s timing so each dish and cocktail was styled and shot at its freshest, without impacting the flow of service.

  • Used an agile lighting strategy to bring out Warner’s warm and inviting atmosphere that utilised natural lighting as much as possible. Our portable setup meant we could remain agile as we moved into different areas and kept things organic within scenes.

  • Focused on organic moments and letting interactions flow between anyone in frame, we captured authentic moments that speak to Warner Hotels’ atmosphere of elegance and ease.

  • Planned ahead and made evergreen work so we introduced more value into shoots by satisfying campaign needs and creating relevant images for general communication across channels.
